Um carinha lá da revista Rolling Stone chamado Robert Dimery lançou um livro chamado 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die ("1001 álbuns para ouvir antes de morrer"), uma lista de grandes obras musicais pelos tempos, com discos da década de 50 até os anos 2000, indo por todos os gêneros. Tem até album da Madonna, e artistas brasileiros como Jorge Ben Jor e Caetano Veloso. Mas também temos álbuns de rock como o "Are You Experienced" de Jimi Hendrix, o "Velvet Underground & Nico" do VU e o "Exile On Main St." dos Stones.
